I just uploaded three "new" songs at
www.myspace.com/wesleyghanna
The first is a guitar solo from an unfinished, and likely
unfinishable, song i recorded upon entering a priest
inspired phase following my work with healy.
kevin dephilipo, who had an impressive set
of pipes for halford style falsetto screams,
actually recorded a preliminary vocal track.
the lyrics were about david koresh.
everything bt the solo is probably lost now in my
broken digital 8. nevertheless,
the solo was the grand finale' and probably
the shreddiest thing i've ever recorded.
The second is a song called trojan horse,
and its one of the earliest songs i recorded.
right around the end of high school i started
fooling around with a 4 track, a drum machine,
and keyboard. the first song was called the
first song to come out of it was called the hatred
you feel. it had some real cornball lyrics,
and a real juvenille sound. its memorable for me
becuase its the first song i recorded myself
singing. then shon and i recorded an awesome
song called reason. it was top notch, with
distorted organs and me and shon sharing vocals
and even harmonizing. right in the middle
there was a breakdown in which i overlaid a
sample of a guy being led to the electric chair.
well, i liked it so much that i wanted a song
just like it al to myself. the result is trojan horse,
which is no masterpiece like reason, but
a song i enjoyed puting together.
The third song stems from the camel toe
project with me, healy, and bracken. the
drum is a machine, kevin plays bass, and i play
the guitar. i've always though it was
a boring song musically, but healy's lyrics save.
its about a girl we were freinds with,
but was more metal image than attitude.
